Colorful Wedding Floral Inspiration at The Brightside

Colorful wedding floral design adds a stunning and unique touch to any wedding celebration. At The Brightside, this type of design can truly shine since it’s a neutral space that can be decorated in so many different ways. We are excited to share some colorful wedding floral inspiration! For this editorial photo shoot, we designed a brightly colored hanging installation to float above the head table. Colorful florals adorned the center of the table, like a dimensional table runner made of floral arrangements and candles. We also incorporated colorful floral arrangements throughout the venue. The ceremony space was one of our favorite looks. We used a ceremony backdrop with florals woven into it. To tie everything together, we chose flowers that complemented the colors used in the hanging installation. One of the trends we have been seeing for 2023 and 2024 weddings, is more color for wedding floral design. When we designed the florals for this editorial photo shoot, we kept that in mind and filled the space with vibrant colors. We hope you love this colorful wedding floral inspiration as much as we do! Tall Wedding Centerpieces and Reception Design in Cincinnati, Ohio. Part 1

Let’s talk reception design!  In this blog we’ll look at the elements you’ll need to host a spectacular wedding reception that is unique to your style and dazzles your wedding guests. Thru our real wedding images, we hope to inspire you with some of the best reception table designs we have crafted for our Floral V Designs clients. Tall centerpieces are an eye-catching way to complement your venue and create a “WOWIE” moment for you and your guests. These lush designs are essential for setting the tone of your reception, adding drama, and displaying your signature style. A tall centerpiece’s style and elements can vary greatly depending on your vision, goals, and venue. Fortunately, we have fantastic design team that loves creating stunning elevated centerpieces for each couple’s dream wedding. Nothing could be more spectacular! Our first example, is from a reception at Green Acres Foundation in Cincinnati, Ohio.  It shows how powerfully tall centerpieces command a room, or in this case a tent. As your guests enter the tent, their gaze is drawn around with the help of these magnificent fixtures. To add visual weight to the layout, we counterbalance the centerpiece’s height with Southern Smilax garlands draped from the ceiling and the parameter of the tent. The result is stunning! Photography by Amanda Donaho – Planning and Design by I Do Weddings and Events  In this next example, we travel to Kenwood Country Club in Cincinnati.  Creating centerpieces that enriched the Country Clubs design was a key consideration for our team. The Floral V Designs team developed distinct floral arrangements for all the guest tables.  Beautiful, tall, garden-inspired centerpieces filled with light blue and white hydrangeas, champagne and blush roses adorned the 40 inch glass Bespoke vases that sat atop the periwinkle satin linens. We just signed our contract. Now what do we do?

This is the worst part… the wait for the big day! Feel free to reach out as you continue planing to make adjustments, or to just get advice on different aspects of the day. We have been a part of thousands of weddings and are happy to help you figure out what might work best for you! We will also check in periodically to touch base on outstanding design elements like cake flowers or escort card displays, and if you’re working with a planner we will be in contact with them throughout the process.  By the way – we love planners! SO…when you hire a planner, please keep us in the loop! About 2 months before the wedding things really kick into high gear!  Kristin will check in to make sure their haven’t been any major changes to your guest count and see if you need a final details meeting with our owner Cady.  Cady will go over any last minute additions like styling blooms or additional centerpieces before confirming your wedding flowers. You’ll also get a “Final Details” email from Kristin 30 days before where she will confirm logistics for the day, triple check your wedding party numbers (you won’t believe how many times clients add a bridesmaid and forget to tell us!) and tie up any loose ends. In the weeks leading up to the wedding we’ll also be working with your venue and other vendors to schedule timing and generally make sure all the little details are taken care of on our end.

Im Engaged & Looking for a wedding florist!

Photography by Odessa James Photography – The Meshewa House at Turner Farm – Design by KMC Weddings If you’re here, you’re likely ready and want to reserve Floral V Designs for your big day.  Well lets start out by saying CONGRATULATIONS!! Even if you have your wedding date picked out, you might not be quite ready to dive head first into the design process. It’s important that you give yourself some time to research and get inspired during the early planning process.  Choose your venue, pick out the dresses, start Pinning images that inspire you. Photography by Amanda Donaho On average, most of our clients book with us 6 months to one year out from their wedding date. That said, we have some couples who book more than a year out, and others who reach out 3 months from the big day. But don’t wait to reach out to your top choice vendors. Especially if you’re getting married during peak wedding season( May, June, Sept, Oct), since most are only able to accommodate a few weddings per weekend! Before you reach out, it’s helpful to have your venue selected and booked, since the location determines so many factors of the day (style and color palette, guest count, etc). Planning reception flowers and décor without a venue is like decorating a house you haven’t bought yet. The couch might not fit and the colors could be all wrong! If you’d like to chat flowers before you book your venue, we are happy too!  Just keep in mind that it will be a more general conversation and things might change once you settle on a space.   Photography by Odessa James Photography – The Meshewa House at Turner Farm – Design by KMC Weddings   Once you have your venue, the […]

A Showcase of Love at the Westin in Cincinnati

Angie and Nick’s wedding day was a beautiful showcase of their love for each other. Their wedding took place at The Westin in Cincinatti, Ohio and their reception at The View, in Mt. Adams. The Mundap was gorgeously decorated in peach, light pink and white flowers with touches of greenery. The Italian Ruscus greenery decorated the upright poles of the Mundap. The hanging bells added a touch of gold to help tie in the chairs. The carnation garlands were strung behind, adding to this gorgeous backdrop. On the gold chairs were the bride and groom’s garland/lays which they wore during the ceremony. On the edge of the stage were beautiful floating candles in large glass vases as well as gold compote/footed bowls with floating candles. The bridesmaid bouquets were also a combination of the brides favorite flowers. All of these beautiful colors, pinks, green, and reds truly helped show the love the bride and groom have for each other. Congratulations Angie and Nick on your gorgeous day and for letting us help showcase your love!   Florals by Floral V Designs  Bells and Chair rentals by Unlimited Events Ceremony Venue at The Westin in Cincinnati Planning by I-Do Weddings & Events Photography by Amanda Donaho

A Classic Wedding at Greenacres Foundation

Danyel and Adam had a beautiful, classic wedding at Greenacres Foundation. From the long isle lined with floral arrangements to the gorgeous hanging 8×8 foot floral installation, everything fit into place. The Chuppah was adorned in a mix of white roses and orchids, green foliages with pops of dried elements.   Danyel’s bouquet was a hand tied bouquet of mixed white garden roses, white Playa blanca roses and white orchids.  Every part of the day was full of white and ivory tones. Danyel loved monochromatic white look with the pop of wooden elements to help keep everything flowing. There were many focal points seen throughout the reception, from flowers hanging from the tent to their Photo Booth backdrop consisting of a green boxwood hedge with their name in script and of course more white and ivory florals. No detail was left out in the execution of this beautiful day! We love to see a classic wedding with classic colors. Congratulations to you both! Nicole & Ian: Fall Colors at Mojave East, Cincinnati Ohio

The fall colors at this glamorous industrial venue were able to create the perfect backdrop for a gorgeous couple! Nicole and Ian held their fall wedding at Mojave East, which added to their spectacular color scheme. The bride’s beautiful bouquet featured dusty pinks and purples, surrounded by creams and greenery. The bridesmaids bouquets also featured these colors. This fall color scheme was seen throughout their entire big day, from bouquets, drink koozies, and centerpieces. The industrial venue created the perfect compliment and helped tie their color palate together perfectly. By adding a touch of metal from the chairs to help tie in the gold votives on each of their tables. Three different centerpieces adorned the tables at the reception, each one adding more details to this flawless day.
