Great thank you from Mother of the Bride

Dear Cady, I want to thank you for the incredibly beautiful flowers for my daughters wedding.  Both the church and the reception were incredible.  I am so glad you were able to accommodate our mock up session, so we could make our changes.  I can’t tell you how many complements I received.  The day after the wedding, the banquet captain and event planner told me that the hotel hosts 62 weddings per year, and that this ballroom was so beautiful that all the staff came in to take pictures.  The event planner said she could even smell the flowers when she walked in the room. We spent almost 18 months planning this wedding, and it was wonderful to be in the church with the pews and altar decorated and all the girls with their beautiful bouquets walking down the aisle and see our vision become a reality.  Then, to walk into the ballroom and see that your flowers had pulled everything together into a beautiful, elegant ballroom for all to enjoy really made my heart skip a beat. We were very pleased with most of our vendors, but you certainly top the list. Thank you again for your beautiful and creative work!!!

February Marriott Bridal Show

Our spring booth last month at the Marriott Bridal Show.  We took our 8 foot by 8 foot birch archway and covered it in 350 yards of coral, blush, champagne and ivory double face satin ribbon.  The booth was full of 24 beautiful bouquets, 8 centerpieces, 2-8 foot tall cherry blossom trees and multiple bud vases, boutonnieres and corsages. It looked and smelled like spring (even though it was still winter outside). 🙂

This beautiful small cascading bridal bouquet consists of many different flowers.  The types and colors of the flowers mixed together give it texture and vibrance.  It was arranged with mini calla lilies, orchids, ranunculus, lisanthus, stock, anemones, roses, italian ruscus greenery and freesias. The shades of purples, sangrias and fuchsia pinks all fall into the 2014 Pantone color of the year: Radiant Orchid.

Different types of Boutonnieres

Stuck on trying to find something different for the guys flowers?  You don’t have to do the same old same, old rose bout.  Try dahlia buds, succulents, wheat, english lavender or babies breath.  Also, wrapping the stems in twine or ribbon provides a different look, giving it that finishing touch.

Great Signage at weddings

As a professional florist, we see all the details that bride and grooms choose to make their wedding day special. One of our favorites are home made signs. Its that extra touch that makes you feel warm and fuzzy; when you read it as your walking into the reception or ceremony.     Here are three pictures we took when we felt inspired 🙂

Woodward/Zimmer Wedding May 31, 2013.

Thank you to Annette Ferraro Photography for these beautiful images from our May 31 wedding at Incarnation Church and Top of the Market in Dayton, Ohio. The bride and groom were blissfully happy! The brides bouquet was an amazing cluster of  blush/ivory garden roses, porcelin spray roses, ivory freesias, ivory hydrangeas, ivory astilbee, white ranunculus and blush pink peonies.  The ribbon that held the bouquet together was from the mother of the brides veil and the charm that adorned the front was from her father that is no longer with us.  The little details like these are what set every wedding apart.

Dayton Art Institute March 7, 2013

This event was held at the Dayton Art Institute for Central State University’s presidential inauguration.  We worked with two amazing coordinators: Alisha and Shaunte, from Central State and Sodexo.  They rented all the beautiful linens from Prime Time Party Rental.  They contracted Entertainment Unlimited Events to do the bulb lighting on the ceiling; and of course, Floral V Designs for the centerpieces and entryway pieces.   Thank you Babcock Studio for the amazing pictures of this beautiful event!!
