Birch branch filled vase

What a beautiful tall centerpiece this was.  The vase was a 30inch square vase filled with thin birch logs.  The arrangement consisted of light blue hydrangeas, ivory roses, creme de la creme light yellow roses, ivory spray roses, blue thistle, green mini hydrangeas and white stock. A bride that makes classic flower choices like these will never look back at her flowers and think “why did I follow that trend?”

Different types of Boutonnieres

Stuck on trying to find something different for the guys flowers?  You don’t have to do the same old same, old rose bout.  Try dahlia buds, succulents, wheat, english lavender or babies breath.  Also, wrapping the stems in twine or ribbon provides a different look, giving it that finishing touch.

Purple, 2014 wedding color of the year

We feel that the 2014 wedding color that seems to be the most popular is purple!  One out of 4 of our brides have a shade of purple, lavender or fuchsia/sangria purple. This bridal bouquet was mostly ivory roses, mini calla lilies and orchids with a hint of purple lisanthus, lavender roses and picasso mini calla lilies.  The bride requested a hint of color, this was the answer 🙂

Dayton Convention Center Centerpieces

We had such a great weekend at the Aug 11, 2013 Dayton Convention Center bridal show. It was held from Sunday from 11-4.  Here are a few sneek peeks of the centerpieces we designed for this event.  You can never go wrong with a simple centerpiece of mason jars filled with babies breath, dried wheat or lavender and tweedia.   We have this cluster of vases (50 sets to be exact) available to our brides to borrow (for free) from us when we do their wedding flowers!  Yes, borrow!  If you use us for your wedding flowers, we let you borrow all of your glassware!  Its a break it you bought it policy 🙂 Big beautiful centerpiece we made for Prime Time Party rental.  It was our 24 inch pilsner vase filled with bubbles and topped with a large arrangement of popcorn hydrangeas, roses, spray roses, garden roses,  calcinia and stock.  We love the pink sparkler linen! So dramatic!!  We met with a bride for next November 2014 and this is what we decided to do for her wedding, she couldn’t really envision it so we made it for her to see at the show!  It is our 30 inch square vase topped with raspberry hydrangeas, pin-cushin protea, burgundy cymbidium orchids, orange/yellow parrot tulips, black magic roses, gloriosa lilies and golden orange makara orchids!  Cant your just imagine, these at the Dayton Art Institute!  Just beautiful!
